I would like to pass on some information I think you might like
too know, I don´t know if there is anyone living who remembers or
heard of Range Roping Horse? I heard of it when I was quit young
from an Ol Timer who had cowboy´d out in Wyoming back at the turn
of the century, 1900.
He told me the best roping horse he ever had was a "Range Roper";
I didn´t know what he meant? he chuckled and said:
"son, a Range Roper is one that will watch your back when your out
working alone! when your out and find a calf that needs tending
too, you rope it, go down your twine and as soon as you got the
critter on the ground your horse will come up and watch your
back and keep that little doggy´s mamma from running up your back
side"
